SkillSurvey’s Staffing Director of Sales opening represents a fantastic opportunity for you to drive sales in a defined geographic territory and have a quick and significant impact on a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prospect daily within territory using technology, LinkedIn, phone to develop qualified leads to create conversations/demonstrations focused on the impact SkillSurvey solutions
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business
  • Perform product demonstrations and presentations via remote GoToMeeting technology, and in person as needed
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations/presentations for prospective customers
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of prospective customers
  • Develop and follow a territory plan to maximize revenue in the region
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding sales pipeline as well as customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of product functionality, market conditions, and competitive activities through the reading of pertinent literature
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions as needed
  • Demonstrate technical as well as consultative selling skills and product knowledge
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of pricing and proposal models
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects on the various solutions the company offers to address their business issues
  • Use common CRM software to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including forecasts, sales calls, presentations, and follow-up actions
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity


  • 3-5 years of technology sales experience preferable in the HR, CRM, or ERP space
  • Experience with selling enterprise software solutions to small to medium-sized as well as large, complex organizations
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of the selling process from lead generation, to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closing
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
  • Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software (
  • Ability to conduct high-level presentations to C-suite, Director, Recruiter levels
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • High energy individual with demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner in high growth, unstructured environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent desirable
  • Background in talent management and other human resource solutions desirable
